There are many factors that keep Ohio Valley Bank running. From shareholders to board members, OVB is able to continue working as an independent, community bank. Another factor that keeps the bank going? Our team of dedicated, community bankers.

In this inaugural edition of the OVB Spotlight, we are introducing our Jackson team. The folks at our Jackson Office are always willing to help our customers, and many use their personal time to volunteer in the community as well.

Get to know your Jackson community bankers:

Joe Wyant, OVB assistant vice president, region manager, Jackson County, has worked in banking for more than 30 years.

“My favorite part of my job is helping folks buy their forever home,” Wyant said.

In addition to his work at OVB, Wyant is very active in the local community as a trustee of the Jackson Area Festival and Events (JAFE) and is on the Jackson County Planning Commission. He also serves on the board of the United Fund of Jackson County as well as the executive board of the Jackson County Economic Development Partnership. When he isn’t working or volunteering, Wyant enjoys watching sports and spending time with his family, which includes his wife of 32 years and three children.

Anita Good, OVB assistant vice president, branch retail banking officer, has been part of the OVB team for nearly 25 years. Good’s favorite part of her job is working with customers. In addition to her work at OVB, Good is actively involved with Jackson County 4-H. She currently serves as advisor of the Hayseeds 4-H Club. In her spare time, Good’s hobbies include raising boer cross goats as well as gardening and crafting. Good also has three children.

Tim Jenkins, OVB account service representative, is another member of the Jackson Office. Jenkins will celebrate his fourth year at the bank this June. He, too, is customer focused, and described the best part of his job as assisting folks with their banking needs. In his spare time, Jenkins also serves as a youth pastor. He enjoys playing his guitar and singing as well.

Amy Hollingshead, OVB branch operations manager, has been part of the OVB team for almost six years. Hollingshead also described her interactions with customers as the best part of her job.

“I love to make each person’s experience special when they come to the bank,” she said.

When it comes to community, Hollingshead said she hopes to help with Vinton County 4-H this summer. When she isn’t working, Hollingshead enjoys cooking and trail riding. She and her husband also enjoy being aunt and uncle to her sister-in-law’s dog, Zeppelin.

Jessica Taylor, OVB assistant branch operations manager, has been part of the OVB team for three years. Prior to her current position, Taylor began her career with the bank as a seasonal customer service representative. When she isn’t enjoying working with customers, Taylor is very active in the local community. She currently serves on the Jackson County 4-H Advisory Council and is a board member of the Jackson Vinton Farm Bureau. She also is the advisor for the Hayseeds 4-H Club.

Taylor enjoys time with her animals, including her dog, Jazmine, and her many cows and chickens.

Brittiany Hensley, OVB customer service representative, has been part of the OVB team since Dec. 2019.

“My favorite part of my job is meeting all of the customers. I have lived in Jackson for almost five years, and I have met more people while working here than I have the other four years I have been in Jackson,” Hensley said.

In her spare time, she enjoys crocheting and catching up with her favorite television shows. She also has recently taken up sewing so she can make her own masks. Hensley also enjoys time with her soon-to-be three-year-old.

Atalanta Leach, OVB customer service representative, will celebrate her four year anniversary with the bank next month. She described the friendships she has made as the best part of her job.

“Working with some of the best people I’ve met (is my favorite part of the job),” Leach said.

She added that she appreciates how her coworkers come together as a team. Outside of work, Leach maintains a busy schedule being a mom to three young children.

Sara Oberholzer, OVB customer service representative, has worked with the bank for four years. She said one of the most fun parts of her job is when the office gets to enjoy visits from Lewy, the Jackson County Library dog. When she isn’t working, Oberholzer hones her crafting skills. She has one daughter, who will turn five next month.

Our Jackson Office is ready to welcome and assist you with your banking needs. Stay tuned for upcoming OVB Spotlight features to get to know more about your community bankers.
